I went into the storage room, got a splinter under my fingernail. Stood up, worked it out. Turned to grab the bucket of water, didn't grab the bucket of water. Someone wanna tell me why/how two mice drowned in there? Walked into the coop to get the waterers, and walked back out to see a pullet yank a worm out of the ground. I have never seen them do it before, and I am trying to forget. I love snakes. I am afraid of worms.
This all happened in about one minute. When all was finished, I grabbed a pullet that needed some attention, and brought her in the house. The dog was so excited. He thought he was getting a new housemate! I thought about it. Then I thought about the poop. Decision made!

Well, the sand comes for the coop today! I hope I have enough energy, after moving a ton of sand, to build sand castles with the chickens!

Glad to hear you are up and moving, The flu really took you down,as this bronchitis is taking me down, can't wait to get back to normal
of course I do not help matters since I am a smoker, hubby was not amused to look outside and see me with a cig in one hand and the inhaler in the other.

Have to admit, never met anyone scared of worms and not of snakes! World is made up of all sorts of people - simply awesome!
