Pennsylvania!! Unite!!

Hello - I hope I'm posting in the correct thread - I'm fairly new to Backyardchickens and am still getting used to the site. I have an Easteregger cockerel (10 weeks old) that I raised since 1 day old (from McMurphy's). I'm in Central Jersey and we are not allowed roosters in my neighborhood. I also think that my New Hampshire Red is a rooster as well but I'm still holding out hope (probably against hope - I attached a photo of that bird, too). However, the Easteregger needs to go :-( He's a lovely, friendly bird who used to sit with my youngest daughter and would fall asleep on her arm. She loves him dearly and we would hate to have to put him down. Does anyone want this gorgeous rooster? I'm willing to travel within NJ and some of Pennsylvania to rehome him. He is, of course, free to a good home :)

Oh my goodness, talk about crazy! The birds, you already see me as “touched.”
Last week, I free ranged everyone, and the two moms were happily visiting the broodies in the SPR pen, and showing off their 7-w-olds. One didn’t return to the other pen when it was time for bed. She was a basket case the next morning until she got back to her babies.
I have been waiting and waiting for the two moms to start laying again. They started back up after 4-6 weeks last year.
I just went out, and the SPR/Welsummer is hatched. Two other eggs are due today. The rest in a week.

I have to hope for good egg fertility because the incubators aren’t running right, and my chauffeur‘s car trouble has me doing my best with what I have. So far, Meat Loaf has his favorites, and it wasn’t the younger girls. Anyway… it was screaming because its mom had run outside.
In the other coop with the two SPR moms and 8-week-old babies, I finally have an egg! :th
I also kept forgetting, and finally shuffled the feeders around to accommodate the tiny chicks.

So Sunny is broody now, but she wouldn’t take the almost 3 week old chicks.:hmm Pom Pom tried to get to her, but she just pecked her. Any tips? These chicks are so big, I don’t think I can put them under her during night time and make her believe they just hatched.

Unfortunately 3 weeks old is likely too old for 99% of broodies to take. I have a hen who will adopt older chicks if she has her own already, but grafting to a new broody is best done with only the youngest chicks.
