Unfortunately we have only had short term relief from draining water belly, although we didnt get antibiotics to treat it other than penicillin. A vet may have a better alternative if you have an avian vet in your area. If she has improved some with the antibiotics you gave her than it may be viable to drain her also. It can be scary but it is surprisingly easy and certainly worth a shot to give you time to decide your next course of action. It definitely makes them more comfortable.
The color of the fluid can give a clue to the cause also, infection (internal laying) produces cloudy to yellowish fluid. Ascites from liver failure/cancers is normally pretty clear.
Thank you! I cannot find any avian vet in our area, but there is a vet seeing chickens. I'll try to see if I can make an appointment. If I can, I'll let her drain the fluid. Dragon has clear fluid running out of her vent though. She carries Marek's diseease, so she is very possible to have cancer. It looks like she will be the third chicken I lost to Marek's. I bought some amoxiline and tylan for pigeon. That's what I'm using now.

@cjweaver13 :welcome
Mini cows come in three sizes. I suggest you try all three. :thumbsup View attachment 2725778View attachment 2725779

Goats make great pets. They clear brush, give milk (flavor depends on diet and genetics) and are fun to watch.

You need turkeys for entertainment, eggs and dinner.

Hello from Lancaster! Love all your pictures - so cute!! 🥰 do you raise miniature highlands?

Broody report:
Duck hatched 5 of 6, 6th got shrink wrapped and I had to remove the dead duckling to get her off the next with the live ones.
Bantam Ameraucanas hatched 2 of 6. That is roughly the percentage I got from the incubators, not sure why they did so poorly hatching.
Black Ameraucana hatched 5 of 6 guineas, but somehow lost 3 of them, so I moved her and the remaining 2 to a separate pen. At least this should break her from being broody, she was not giving up easily.

Ah man! I was hoping so! I’m trying to find some! haha... I had full size growing up and want minis so bad!
Mini's of any livestock tend to be either poor quality or outrageously expensive, or both. The people raising good stock are careful to keep the market tight and prices high. Show animals are often the same way.
I try to get into the poultry breeds after the initial high prices, but before everyone has them. This year I got eggs from Ayam Ketawa and Leige Fighters. Have a trio of each growing out. Might have chicks to sell next year if they make it through the winter, which is much more likely with the Leige than the AK's.
If you have never heard of either of these, go check them out on Youtube, or search here. Both are interesting in their own ways.

Sorry the hatch rates weren't better, we have noted spells of poor fertility or just poor hatches despite the eggs starting. Thankfully the spells seem to be pretty short lived and we dont rely on the hatches for anything other than getting broodies off of the nest. Hopefully the remaining chicks do well and keep the broodies happy.

I looked at Leige Fighers and all I have to say is I would be terrified if I ran into one in a dark alley.
Their size and ferocity is pretty much all of their appeal. I'm a fan of bantams and when
I want "big" I think of turkeys and peafowl, both to those outweigh the largest chickens.
But an opportunity came up to acquire some, so why not try them and form my own opinion. My pens are mostly setup for groups of 15 or 30 chickens, but I have a few pens that are too small for the larger groups, so both of these trios will end up there.
