What time? Gonna try to make it. Tyrone is only 20 mins from me.

Thanks! I'm going on vacation in a few weeks so not a good time to get chicks (will have a chicken sitter, but I don't want it to be too complicated for her.) So I think earliest availability next Spring will work out best for refills. I think Spitzhaubens will really enjoy my set-up since I have lots of places to roost around the backyard.I have the gold spangled and chamois that are shown on Greenfire's site: https://greenfirefarms.com/spitzhauben.html
I got my breeders direct from them. Sand Hill should be offering all 3 colors next year. He discovered they are very prone to Coccidosis and need preventative treatment with Corid in the feed or water.
You want some this year to replace your recent losses?
Interesting new Raccoon Trap you designed there.Look at this! This mini-coop was thrown together in an emergency, & is handy for sporadic isolation needs. I know it needs to be reinforced, but haven't gotten around to it yet. I had a broody hen in there, & could tell something had tried to get at her during her last night. The day after I moved her back into the main coop, I looked out & saw raccoons in there! A total of SIX raccoons!! One mama & five young ones! They made a big enough hole to get in, & several small ones while trying to get out!
Needless to say, I'm reinforcing this with hardware cloth ASAP. Lucky they hadn't been successful a day earlier, or they'd have gotten my hen!View attachment 3188686
