It was an interesting adventure processing 27 birds yesterday with Bruce. My friend that has a plucker forgot to bring it with him to work and we ended up doing them all by hand. For further reference. 27 birds are WAY too many to mess around with at one shot with two people and no plucker. 6 1/2-7 hrs later we got it done. I was up till later last night cleaning up and messing with the incubator. YEs! I messed with the incubator. Rookie move. Some were bad and I was concerned. The dry temp spiked to 110 and I kinda freaked. So 4 babies prematurely met their end.

WHY, didn't you ask for help, 27 birds all by hand is a distaster waiting to happen, actually 7 hrs is not bad time under the circumstances..

OH! Wingstone guess what!? That Lil barred Cochin. It's a flipping roo! Sob started making noise yesterday. Today it's a full out crow! WTH. Thought oh heck, her comb was turning red and getting huge and than BAM she crows.

Flighty and friendly LOL, they are quirky. They get along great with the other chickens, when they were younger they would jump up on my lap for attention, when I catch one they still like the pets??? Does that help answer your question...............

Hey Bruce, have you put your babies outside yet? I put them out in the little coop inside the big coop today. I want my basement back....for a few weeks at least! LOL.

My mother just sold her house (bought in 1991) to my kid sister. In trying to go through things, my sister found a box marked "Missy's Bedroom, clothes/toys" She called me and asked me if I wanted it. I told her since it was still SEALED there was no way I even knew what was in it!

See! I'm happy I explained it! LOL!! Well since we know she's a girl we have a better name for her. I have it written down at home. My oldest came up with the name.

Today is HATCH DAY!! I'm REALLY hoping that they didn't die because our little girl was "egg bowling" with them before I moved her to the brooder. If anything she helped turn them. LOL!!

She reminds me of the one date on ace bungalow male gigalo who would be talking then fall asleep right where she was. LOL! It's so funny! This girl will be drinking water, then fall asleep in it immediately after. LOL! Goofy bird
