Once upon a time (I may have still been living in New Jersey) I saw a news report about all the colored chicks being removed from a pet store, and the owner being arrested because they had been warned before. Dyeing chicks for sale is illegal. Like Joe Camel, who was "tempting" kids to smoke, the dyed chicks made people buy farm animals that they knew nothing about, and discarded in the streets when they got older. Come to think of it, it may have been around the same time everyone had a pet alligator (Do not tell me I am At least some of you have to remember the 80's and 90's!!). So, my question is; Is there a law in the state of PA on dyeing chicks for sale? Just curious because someone on here made me think of it. Edited to say that this idiot just bothered to search the Internet, and there is a nation wide law against it. It is still done, but so are drugs.
