Hello!
Is anyone here from Franklin County and knows what the laws are on chicken keeping? I have tried looking them up online and get everything but.
Thanks!
Go to your township or town ordinances, not county to find the answer. If you can't find it online just call or email them. If you live in a pretty rural area there might not be much info - for example the most my township ordinance says is about general noise from any animal and since there are still working farms around they make allowances for that and the noise would have to be excessive and continual especially at night when people are sleeping. It's handled more on case by case and complaint basis best I can tell in my case. Actual towns or housing plans may have stricter rules.
It's also a good idea if you have any neighbors close to ask them how they'd feel about you having chickens and if they express concern over rooster noise then you'd know better not to get one or keep it where they can't hear it as well. If they have concerns about the chickens wandering into their yard and digging up flower beds then you know to keep them under control. But those things are just being a good neighbor.

Ok, but I can't find anything for the township either. It's a village of 300 people or less. And I don't live there, just considering moving there :). Thank you for your response though!

Coons found a hole in one of my pens. The ensuing carnage was disgusting. Closed up the hole so that no being without power tools is going to get in that way again.

I'm so sorry to hear that :( I had something get in to my coops last week. It took 2 goslings and multiple hens (including my long lived silkie feathered ameraucana hen). We'd dramatically downsized this year anyway but now there's even less. We fortified our old turkey coop and moved everyone in there. I'm down to 7 turkeys, 13 chickens, 2 geese and 1 duck. I sold off all my quail yesterday minus 2 that were too young to take to the swap with everyone else. I only have an older bantam mutt roo and a young genetic hackle cockerel leading my flock. A lot of my birds are aging so as they die off naturally, that'll be it. I'm going to be done (as of now anyway). I'm going to be using up all my fabric for hen saddles and closing down my Etsy shop too. I'm guessing I'll still have saddles available for another year (I really have THAT much fabric lol) but then I'll be done with that too.

Hiya Peeps ♥️ LTNS.
@Dennis…. So sorry to hear about the coon, they are the worst! Good to see you still here doing your thing.

Life has taken many interesting and difficult twists since the last time I posted. I currently have only 3 turkeys, 2 BBW and a BBB. I’m contemplating getting back into chickens, not sure I can take the heart ache of when they get attacked.
