there is so much hatching going on in PA over the winter! For those of you that are doing big hatches recently or int he next few weeks, will you keep them all indoors all winter, or do you have heated coops? I have like 60ish eggs set and I am trying to figure out logistics! I have a fairly large brooder, but not one that will hold all of those babies until they are 3-4 months old!

I've got the reigning in partner here, lol. He takes all of my eggs to give away to his coworkers, so I keep saying we need more chickens. His reply, with a slight smile, is "Eight is enough!" No it's not, ha ha. Especially after keeping up with this thread.

That is funny. I think it was last year around that time when my hubby said yes to 8.....
 
since this is the holiday season, and I'm sure I'm not the only one who gets crumbled cookies or massive amount of cookie crumbs.. Just like to say,,, remember your other children... My girls are all over the crumbs of the cookies. I thought the cookie batter dog was funny. But watching one of the hens with a part of a cranberry cookie running around away from the others is just to funny.

The chicks above are adorable! and I am in the situation you all talked about just a couple pages back.  My SO is as hooked on chickens as I am and we are our own worst enemies
because neither of us know when to say no!   LOL

I should have this tattoo put on my forehead, then maybe people would expect different.

Took my daughter to breakfast this morning, and as I was ordering she said "now i remember why i do not go out to eat with you, It is impossible for you to order anything normal "\

My meal was 2 soft cooked eggs laid directly onto a piece of scrapple and lightly seasoned with paprika, wheat toast on the side and coffee with a small orange juice.......what is so wrong with that.....

My fiancee laughs at me. I order 2 sunnyside up eggs and corned beef hash, well done. I then proceed to only eat the white of the eggs, can't touch the yolk till the white is gone (and I'm surgical about it) THEN I eat the yolk by dipping my toast in it.
