I know it was an accident (he seemed really freaked out when it was happening) but I am tired. Re-making a bed is not what I want to do. Dealing with the sheets and comforter (I threw them in the tub for tonight) is not something I am looking forward to either.
So... I got a chicken magazine, freeze dried worms

, a TSC gift card, 4 bags of feed, and 2 dozen new egg cartons for Christmas. Well... pajamas too. So I can be snuggly warm while I am in the coop!

Anyone else get more chicken related gifts than personal?
I forget who asked, but dogfood is okay for the chickens. I see more things on "no cat food" than no dogfood on this site.

Yep. I was devastated that I dropped it. Well here she is. The baby that shouldn't have lived.

We had about 8" of snow by dinner time. I tried to cover the run better so they could be out a little tomorrow.

My husband said we could go to the farm show, but now he has been taking his mother back and forth to Pitt for tests and procedures, so I am doubting he'll feel like going now ): chances are she'll be having surgery.around then, so I guess I will have to try next year.

My runs are covered, but still get wet. And yes, drainage is an issue!

Try stone dust, or DER dust. That's what I use outside the coops its get wet, stays packed, and drains well.

Thanks. She is doing somewhat better, but it looks like she may have to get a kidney removed. I love her like a mom, and am glad she lives within walking distance. It's about 2 and a half hours to Pittsburgh from here.
