LOL I couldn't figure out why it kept reordering everyone...then I realized..it's got us in alphabetical order!

Yes, I figured as much. I was on the ipad and I don't get good wifi in the garage!!!!!! Okay I use metal waterers in the winter, because I have the metal heater base. Not supposed to put plastic on them. Its a bag about 3x6 inches it just sits on the inside. I buy them ready made. So I don't know how to home make it??? I change mine out 3x a year, April, August, and December. I us manna pro water protector for the peeps in the summer, nothing right now. You can give the chickens barley, treat it like oats. I don't give them the barley form the bags. I am sorry about the crappy description earlier DD was getting home from school.

Pond suppliers carry the barley and or the alfalpha balls to add to water. They get used in large and small ponds for the same purpose.

They make cages and small balls of hay to add to small filter units as well.
