I just cannot stand all these cute chick pics!!! I am in chick withdrawal and you guys keep posting them! But I cannot hatch until I figure out what the heck I am doing and find a better place!!

I am going to have 2 little black cochins chicks available. I am trying to cull hard as this is my starter flock. These are cute, they just have a slight red tint to them.

I hear that! We finally plowed our way out yesterday, now we are going to be snowed in again, lol! And I was supposed to be meeting someone today to get rid of my roos 

I think I still have my heat lamp downstairs... need to go look. I saw a design for a brooder using a big sandbox. Now I just need to find the box I want without paying $120!

hope your Roo plan doesn't fall through, I dropped 2 off at a neighbors house Christmas Eve.

Was this the turtle sandbox brooder design? I saw that! We donated our turtle sandbox to the 4H auction this fall, it sold for $2!

If you cannot figure anything out for a bigger brooder, go back to our PM's,, and get my number. The next time you are out this way, give me a call. I can let you use my heat lamp (red bulb) and come up with another plastic tote.

The chicks are adorable!! I'm having some major case of chick envy here!

I am thinking of placing an ad on the buy/sell/swap section for eggs for Gracie... I looked through the ads there and all seem to be either single breed or buy them by the dozen.
I was hoping to get just 8-10 so she can cover them without difficulty since she's small and I was hoping to get 3 or 4 of either 2 or 3 of our preferred breeds if that makes sense?

If there are any egg suppliers that you folks know of that I should stay away from because of previous troubles, etc could you shoot me a PM so I have a heads up? I am hoping
some allow either cash or pick up in person since I don't do pay pal
