I'm building that mouse trap tomorrow!!! Little ******** are Cirque De Soleil mice...I swear! They manage to do acrobats and escape everything, look me in the eye, and giggle before they run into my walls.

Get this...there was a BEAR in my backyard tonight! A foot of snow on the ground, I'm coming back from the coop, hear a snort, shine my flashlight, and a big *** bear was in my yard! I went back to the coop, called the house & told them to let my dog out. HOLY CRAP!!!

OK...and back to furry legs...can you guys identify this bird? I hatched 2 out of BCM eggs from ebay. They look like marans...feathered legs...I've even seen similar ones online...but it looks mixed to me, not really sure. I contacted the seller, who never responded, which makes me think it could be anything and not a white marans. I hatched out 4 others, all black. They were supposed to be blacks & blues only, no white or splash. I don't really care, but it's not the first time I bought eggs that ended up being mixed....for like $50. I guess in a few months we'll see what they lay. I think I may have a pair, but if they're both cockerels, then I'll never know, I guess. Maybe they were extras? I think he sent 2 extras. It would be cool if they were OE, but I doubt it. They are REALLY sweet.

Sally, I was going to say that I use it whenever reading this thread. Not sure my DH will get the joke. He is 20+ years older than me. That is his computer I moved today (out of my living room!!).
Anyone else like to re-arrange the entire house every few weeks? I was once accused of wanting to rearrange the bathroom.

I have actually tried.

I shared this on another thread so I figured I would share it here just in case ya all ever need a safer way to take care of a rodent problem, we are all PA so we all may already use it!!

Here is a google... we have used this contraption in the sheds and garage for YEARS!! Harmless to everyone else, safer than poison, less stink too...... unless your a mouse or mole....
but you will need a bigger one if you have rats. They wonder up and try to get on the can with PB and it rolls and they fall in the water and drown quickly. Some people make these traps for feeders if they have snakes and stuff.... we had a discussion as to what additive to keep it from freezing... some suggest salt, vinegar and dawn dish detergent.

May have to try this as apparently a mouse chewed through a wire and shorted out hubby's car!!!!! Grrrr!

Because my dog would chase the bear away so I could get back to the house. I'm home alone with the kids & the kids were in the house while I fed the chickens. My dog is a pitbull, and he was the only thing I could think of to do. The bear was gone, though, luckily.
