Question for everyone: Is there a name for this color pattern? I'm sure I'll realize I knew it as soon someone says it....
These are our EEs that just turned 2 wks on Wed.

that's great, I have family in both areas. Will have to write that down & keep it in mind! There was one up here, well, near Williamsport.."The Port" drive-in, I think they have shut that one down though
sad.png
. We never got to go to it...shame. Now I'm in the mood to see a movie, outside..

Man, this storm system is coming in Mad! Even the chickens put themselves to bed early...
Mine too...which was great...then only I and DH had to go out on the roads....in the pouring rain...with all the lost truckers...nothing like watching an 18 wheeler try to make a V turn because that's what the GPS is telling them to do....note, it's an impossible (though legal) turn for ME to do in my Jeep! DH's commute home today was over 2 hours because of the detour, and because a tractor trailer rearended a minivan that was stopped behind 2 other tractor trailers....by the time the one at the end of the line stopped....the minivan was a microminivan...and the woman in it was dead.
Wow a drive in, last time I was at one I was watching ET lol
Funny, when I saw ET, my aunt took my brother and I to see it, as my mom was in the hospital having my sister....she then took us to the hospital and my brother asked why we were being shown ET (kid sis). Just got off the phone with my mom. Kid Sis just gave birth to my niece, Vivienne Alice via c-section. She's been in the hospital since yesterday am. They induced her yesterday at noon.....and while she was fully effaced earlier today, she was not progressing.
Yep, beaglady is at landis valley,,,seen her, talked to her, and bought those mushroom logs.......also bought some really good honey, i am not a patient person, i tasted it on the way home.....yummy !!!...had lots of fun just walking around the grounds,,,places like landis valley shows how different life used to be.......much simpler life... Sally,,,i got eggs today, they are resting.....will give you an air cell update tomorrow when they are set..THANK YOU>>>THANK YOU>>>THANK YOU...Sally really does do a wonderful packing job..
YAY! Glad you got the mushroom logs and your honey!

Your TTs look so cool, I think ours are going to be plain white. I really hope Devon catches on. They're both such nice kids, Gavin asked when he could play with them again....I told him we'd figure something out.

Not my TTs anymore. They were mine 3yrs ago when I first started with my multi breed layer flock. And yes, we need to get together again! You have been warned about my "honeymoon" issue, though... LOL. It's not really funny, but kind of is.

We live on top of hill, although a lot of people call it a mountain.

Nah, it's a hill and I'm a Pennsylvanian.

LOL I wish I could afford foam insert to be honest, but for now I reuse what I get! but I still think double boxed bubble wrap and air cell down makes a huge difference. I think PO tends to keep the larger boxes one way, label up! and double boxing def protects that inner box of goods!

I get offended when people call me a lady. Ladies are prim, proper & submissive. I'm a woman. A woman has a mind of her own & knows how to use it.
wink.png
I have 3 daughters. They were not raised to be ladies either.

Same here.
lau.gif
Well the lady part, only have Bug right now, but the fiance wants a mini hord....
I'd love to go but it is not payday till Thursday, being the responsible adults we are
lau.gif
we paid bills and got food lol I was looking at the Barred Rock ones and they look pretty cool and have good reviews on here from what I have been reading. Our local ag store here in Mifflinburg actually has some available for delivery in June, i'd just have to get my order in by Monday - all the other ones I wanted (sussex) were the "rare" kind and I missed the May cut off date for them.

Weather here is so weird to me lol back home in Australia we know it will storm by how hot it is and usually where they will hit as most of them follow a pattern. Then I left Australia and moved to Oklahoma (where hubby is from) and I learnt to get used to tornadoes storms with baseball size hail & earthquakes - THAT was something different all together lol I do miss that weather though
gig.gif
Here it is like you never know what is going to happen lol I always keep a coat in the car just incase lol
Have you been here for winter (or whatever it is now) yet? lol
Ok.
I live right down the road from a drive in! And we go once and awhile.

We (Dad and I) where attemping to get the access doors on the back of the mandie/pheasant coop.. so I can STOP having to go there the duck door to get in the coop!!! That's a 1ft x 1ft opening not fun! Well we got the doors on.. but are tacked on by nails since it started to freaking rain as we where getting hinges on!
barnie.gif
Maybe tomorrow we can finally finish it!
rant.gif
I'm hoping the rain stays away too.
fl.gif
Got as far as taking the kennel down to move it.

Yeah we moved here at the end of last July ... I always thought I loved snow as it never snows where I am from in Australia and rarely snows much in Oklahoma ... then winter happened here LOL At Christmas it was so nice and pretty ... then it kept coming what seemed like every week!! I couldn't wait for winter to be over at that point ... plus we have a rear wheel SUV which was NOT fun when I got caught in a freak snow downpour while taking the 4 year old to preschool - I didn't think we'd make it there alive but I was happy to say I didn't managed to hit a curb or anything else
gig.gif
which wasn't too bad for my first real drive in the snow - I am so glad spring is here now, it is nice to once again be able to go outside and enjoy the sun and gardening!

Thank goodness and that's better than some people who've grown up here
lau.gif
I swear most people forget how to drive in snow and need to relearn, same with the first few rainstorms....
he.gif

Something I did when we had rear, and do now even with the 4X4s, is put a container in the trunk area (or as close to the rear axle as I can) and fill it with salt and sand bags (although I may buy grit this year). The extra weight helps keep traction, and if I get stuck I have stuff to help with traction. Even with a front wheel I keep one bag premixed in the trunk for traction if I get stuck.

That's the beauty of EE's. They don't have a set color or pattern. They can be anything & it often changes with each molt.

Quote: It's actually heavier boxes that tend to stay upright. Light boxes, regardless of dimensions, are just easier to lift & turn & will be placed which ever way they fit best on the truck or plane. Heavier boxes tend to stay label side up so they do not have to be lifted & turned to read the label.

Ahhhh...wait until we have REAL snow for you to drive in. Every few years we get a foot or 2 dumped all at once.

Gavin decided they're all being named after candies/ice creams since they're Easters, as he calls them.

That's what I was thinking. Unfortunately we're overdue for a nasty winter

...I hope I didn't just jinx us with that comment.
