Pennsylvania!! Unite!!

how can you tell when they are that little? i have two mottled houdans that i am not sure what they are...i will have to take more pictures tonight and post!!!

I will tell you that Silver Laced is pretty easy to sex at there age. There is no saddle feathers, or hackle feathers. They have the girl poof crests. Boys are pointier, and are looser and hang differently then the ladies. This is an educated guess! not set in stone...................

Okay there are my other two i couldnt get a good pic of my Black Polish to see if anyone had an idea if its a girl or boy! but anyone have a guess on my older two?

This one has always been the smaller of the two and had short tail feathers but as you can see the red is starting to come out in its wattle.

This one has always been bigger and had longer tail feathers...and doesnt have any wattle or color in its face yet...

I am thinking rooster

This is my little black polish i couldnt get a good picture of it
!
The front one I am thinking hen.

But i am so happy i got my 5 little ones this spring it was a blast building their coop and just enjoying them..

These chickens could be mixes of crested birds. They are fun looking!!!!

So I have to get my broody's separated from the others, today I found a broken egg under broody with eggs that are at about day 11... Looks like a toe went thru shell and yolk! I was so upset!!!! Curiosity won over and I opened the egg thinking that surely the baby would be dead, but it wasn't! I am heart broken! I know the poor thing would have never finished developing properly with a big hole in the shell and half the yolk oozed out, but still! New coop is built, just need a day off to paint it and put up divider for my 2 broody mama's!!!! Hope we can make it to Friday when I'm off again!

Yep about 40 mins of reading just finished lol

Oh my god that is funny - what a cute lil face too!!

Hope everyone is doing well, it appears so with all the baby talk going on.

Been a busy 2 days here checking up on family back in Oklahoma to make sure they are all safe and accounted for. Thankfully we are lucky and all are fine. It is just so sad what happened, my husband and I were watching the live stream of the our old favorite news station back in Oklahoma and watched the whole horrible thing unfold, I spent most of the time crying after the reports of the schools that were hit and hubby had to take me outside away from the tv to get away from it all. I feel so badly for all of those affected

.

8 days to go and we will be packing up our 4 year old and driving him to Missouri to hand him over to his grandparents for a fun filled (hopefully tornado free) 2 weeks in Oklahoma, we'll miss him badly but it will be nice to get a bit of us time & go see a bit more of the USA! 21 days till my 6 girls arrive, the coop has been fully cleaned out, their run has had all the long weeds trimmed and the fence is all up and ready to go (all done with no help from hubby either!) ... I can't wait!!!
