Pennsylvania!! Unite!!

Have you ever been so intoxicated, that you walked into the coop with a flashlight yelling at yourself, "What does an egg look like? Darn it! What does an egg look like? It's brown! Yes! Oh... Maybe blue. Crap! Is that an egg?!"
American Legions are bad for your health. :D

Also dangerous when you and your neighbor both brew, make wine, and then as winery opens two miles down the road!

So is my "Birthday Girl" glass....2 of those...and well...I was smart enough to stay out of the coop...though I did go looking for brownie mix.....
Thanks he is fine, just hurts when he goes to lift his arm up. He is an unstoppable force of nature, little bugger was determined to vacuum his room today much to my protests, he did it anyway. :barnie You honestly would think there was nothing wrong with him if it weren't for the xray to prove the fracture!
Kids are amazingly resilient.
Some more cubalaya chicks. Hatched May 25th. and here are both parents.
Awww...sooo pretty

Yeah...DH and I were discussing that....he saw an article that with all the budget cutbacks, a woman called to report a sexual assault and was told that there were no funds to send someone out to investigate. I think this is a travesty. DH said with as rural as we are, if we were to call 911 to report a burglar, and they were to say something like that...he'd just shoot the burglar and put them in the coop, tell the cops that they could pick up the burglars effects in the morning, but there would be no body. (Mostly in jest)

Hey guys, this is Omelette, one of the seven two month old chicks I finally got yesterday! She seems to be a RIR mixed with something, but I cannot be sure. I now have one black australorp, a couple of RIRs, one RIR mixed with americauna, and a few unknowns. Any guesses about her gender?

Quote: We had DH's 15 & 19 yr. old cousins stay with us for a week a few months ago. We used the opportunity to go out, because we never have babysitters, So, left them with our 4 kids. Ages 13, 11, 9, & 3. Before I could get my bowling shoes on we got a call that they had called 911 because they thought they saw a man walking around on my porch (I have a large wrap around porch). I wasn't too worried, but the crazy part was that it took the police a full hour to get to my house. My FIL got there before they did. What could have happened if those kids were right, and a nut job was walking around on my porch in the middle of nowhere with bad intentions?

Her gender is a rooster.

Don't you hate it when that happens???

That comb, and those waddles are pretty pronounced, and red for an 8 week old. Could be wrong, but I'd bet roo.
