Just found a new project for the chickens! Just ordered the water nipples from ebay.. Holding out ordering some Langshan hatching Eggs I notice online.. only get 4 maybe 5 eggs...

I am going to get the PVC and then maybe put one of those 5 gal water jugs on the top, or just a larger reservoir on it since i want it against the barn...

Hey I have a boss looking to add 4 brown layers to their production flock, in York county; if anyone knows of some or can point me in a direction that would be super helpful. Thanks

I am pretty sure I am going to the auction this week. Lebanon Valley Livestock, anybody else going? I got a crap ton to sell. Mostly ducks!!!!!! I am pretty sure the "Blue Swedish" I got from the TSC in March are crosses between Mallards and blue/black Swedish. They are black with white bibs, and they have the purple/blue/green duck wing mark. They also have some white/light gray barring under the wings. The are also flying. IDK if they will get bigger and not be able to fly or not. They also seem to want to roost.

I also have a pair of LF Cochins. Black hen, and Blue cockerel. A pair of Wheaten Ameraucana. Wheaten rooster, and Blue Wheaten hen.
I have a bunch of Bantam Mottled Cochin cockerels. Some of them have red or gold leakage. I also have some English Orpington cockerels, black copper marans cockerel, and who knows what else!!!

I am growing out my pullets this year. So they won't be sold until fall, after they are evaluated. Let me know if anybody is interested in anything.

This is my first time hatching eggs. They are on day 19 and I swear I heard chirping coming from one of the eggs! Am I losing my mind or is this possible?

The farmer next door also gave me 3 large boxes his farm hand used for raising chickens. They are old and dirty but have been in the barn for all these years so are still in great shape. Now I have options to move a broody hen,our teenage chickens or a place to quarantine if I need it. Now I just need the hubby to build a new coop with a bigger run and we'll be good .......for now ;)

Pictures!

Nettie - "Mom, pull the branch down for me, already!"

The new start to my Ameraucana flock - 19 pullets:

My LF Chocolate/Mauve project Orps - The boys are VERY faded because of the sun:

Some of the Maryland bound birds (most MFCs stay, the Tolbunts, the gosling and the bald Chocolate cockerel).

Do I have a pair? The one on the right has a more straight back crest.

Hope no one minds picked tails... Space is getting precious and some of these guys just can't keep there beaks off the others!

One of my best MFCs - color wise. She stays.

Hello all, been a while since I have been on here.. SE PA here. I am in need of a male goose if anyone has one they are willing to give away or sell (can't pay a lot for him though). My male goose got taken by a Fox and female is lonely. Please let me know if you can help. Pm me if you can, I loose track of things on here. Thanks

P.s. my goose is a Toulouse(sp? Lol) not that I really care if the gander is the same. Just thought I would let every one know in case someone does have a male. Thanks again.
