JJ & I actually cook together or take turns cooking. We both like to cook. I hate doing dishes, so the sink belongs to him & my daughter. There are nights I just don't feel like cooking & I let him have the kitchen as long as he cleans up his mess when he's done. I refuse to clean up after someone else's cooking. I make enough mess of my own when I cook...LOL

doesn't everyone have numerous fridges...main kitchen fridge,,,overflow basement fridge, and of course the old egg customer fridge out in the barn,,(hope no one comes looking for eggs in the next couple days)

What do you do with all these chickens? and at 9 weeks, 8lbs? are these the meat birds? They grow that fast?

I know this snt chicken related but I really want a goat. Something on the smaller side but I would still like to use it for milking. Any suggestions? I'm a city girl so this is all new to me! Any and all help is appreciated!

Oberhasli are not too large and they are good milk producers, they also have good temperaments. Alpine is another breed that you might want to check in to. Saanen's can get pretty large, are excellent milk producers. Lamancha is another breed, and Taagenberg, and Nubian really, they are all good. Are you in to fiber animals? If so you could go for an Angora goat but be forewarned, Angora's have to keep their horns in order for them to be able to cool off from the heat . Never milked one but if you want a funny conversation piece you could look for Fainting goat's ( yes, some loud noises will make them faint ). It is quite funny. The choice is yours, ha e fun finding out more about each one then choose which one fits what you want the most.

Forgot to mention that I know someone in the York area that has several of these breeds. Let me know when you decide and I can see if she has any available and what the price would be.

Blarney, has Nigerian Dwarfs, small and cute. Make a lot of milk for there size. Be for warned, it is hard to keep them in there fence, LOL. Just ask Blarney!!!

With the size of your flock I'll be crossing my fingers that ya only have one. 

We actually have 9 chickens. A New Hampshire, two leg horns, two partridge Plymouths, two red sex links, a bantam Cochin, and a possible Delaware. I love the variety.
