GOOD MORNING!!!
Welcome all the newbies!

I had 3 ball jars filled with water since i only had 4 eggs in it and it helped stabalize the temp dramatically!
So on the vaccinating thing.... Is this something i need to worry about with the chicks i hatched out? Is it necessary? How about if i want to take one to a show a few years from now? Wasn't there a list circulating of poultry vets and people who do testing and such? Any chance i can get a copy? sure would be nice to have on hand.
So my 2 dozen eggs should be here any day. Still no more info on the USPS website since tuesday as to there location. Last thing listed is okland california. The last shipment came in 2 days and this one is already on it's 3rd. Getting worried...
I apoligize for all the questions and I asked this in the incubating thread as well. However, since we have so many good examples here, i thought i should ask here as well.
My humidity in my last hatch was kept at 60% during and up to 75% at lock down (assuming my hydrometer is correct, I have another one on the way so i have 2 for the next hatch) How can I avoid the shrink wrapped chicks. Mine all seemed shrink wrapped. I have the incubator in a n un-used bedroom that has central air. The temp stays at 72deg. I had a HECK of a time getting the hummidity up to 75%. I am guessing that is due to the room being less humid. I had to keep the one vent plug in and the other half way coverd with all the wells filled, 2 sponges and 2 wet paper towels. Any suggestions? Should i move it to a room that isn't temperature controlled? I then worry about the temp swings.
Thanks! and i hope everyone has a good day!
