Ok... So HUGE PROBLEM...

With in the last month birds have been going MIA.
The first to disappear was the male Candian Goose (wild)... It had a 'wife' and 5 kids.. and it went MIA in the middle of the night with only feathers left behind! Nothing else!
The next one was my one Muscovy female... it just poofed with NOTHING left behind.... no blood, parts, feathers!
And the last one, so far!, my male Rouen.. up and gone!
Today my Dad noticed that where we buried our coonhound something dug it up and started eating it!! Prints around it.. They are coyote!!!! WTH. Nasty ************

And now... how to go about making that magey mutt go visit the devil!!! I am on edge now. I can't wait for the pen to be finished!!!

Not sure if anyone missed me, but I have not died! I did miss 1040 posts, though...

I've been busy. I got a horse... More than likely a bad idea, but so far, so good! I really need to down size on birds yet. My ducks are making their way to the processor's next week. I need to sell the LF chocolate/mauve project birds as well. I have had so many chicken deaths in the last 2 weeks, it's insane. I have hens hatching chicks and they are killing them! The only one that isn't is my MFC Mildred and Millie. They are in with the bantam chocolate Orps and Millie wasn't even broody and is helping fend off the chocolate hens. I am not taking them out because they are chocolate babies and will be in there anyways. I trust Mildred and Millie to do a good job keeping them alive.

My ankle is still swollen and messed up. I never went back to the doctor's like I was supposed to. To busy.

Um... nothing else new to report, I believe...

Maggie!

shes a beauty

She's lovely! I have three horses and it never ceases to amaze me how every time I turn around I am opening my wallet for something for them:) it's time they got jobs:) I always tell them look at the hens bringing some income from Eggs. How are you contributing lol.

My only free range roo came up missing not long ago. I actually heard him get snatched right off his roost since he liked to roost on the back porch right outside my bedroom window. Not sure what got him, but he didn't get a chance to make much noise & there were no feathers, blood or tracks left behind.

Couldn't possibly be worse than the house I'm in now. Upstairs has no walls or ceiling, all floors need replaced, all walls need replaced, all ceilings need replaced, all wiring & plumbing needs replaced...and it's a RENTAL!!! Freakin landlord is supposed to be providing materials for repairs & hasn't even managed to get me everything for 1 room yet. Been here almost 7 months!!!

All of the rest of my birds are completely locked down every night, so no other problems so far. Kept telling JJ that the roo needed to be in the coop at night, but men just don't listen.

Awesome Wing! I feel like I've had a personal tour.

STAKE: congrats! Nothing like that first egg. I was at the Ridley Park parade today, they still run the races afterward, egg toss and tug-a-war. Very nice. We took one of the baby goats, everyone commented on our 'weird looking dog'. : )
