lol yeah Every morning I let the girls out and the first thing they do is run around like mad and flap around to stretch out after a long nights sleep, makes me laugh every time!

When I read what everybody else thought, I was like oh boy, I am gonna get peed off.  Well I didn't, I thought the article was not very newsworthy.  It really didn't have any good info to me.  It is definitely from a city perspective.  I am middle of the road about it.
imho. try not to get ensconced in argument with folks who are ignorant.....its a losing game....you wlll be fighting a null hypothesis....my two cents.....

Thanks I'll go to the TSC & get some tomorrow, guess it can't hurt them.  Should I give it to both?  And if I miss some poop in the yard when I clean up after they have been out free ranging & my dog eats their poop, will she get the same worms?  She thinks the poop is great chicken snacks!!  Yuck!

I would say potentially. They might be species specific but your dog can pick up worms from raccoon, rabbit, wild animals.
I will find out when I go to work tomorrow. But I know my doctors will say deworm anyway. It won't hurt. Dewormer for dogs is pretty cheap at tsc. I keep my dogs on interceptor so I don't have to worry.

Hi all,
I am new around here and looking for some others who may be close to me. I am in Coopersburg, PA. I am looking for the best way to get my kids more involved with the chickens - they already do most of the work for them and love them to pieces, but my knowledge is limited to what I can search for online and I think the 4-H club doesn't allow kids under 8 (mine are 3, 5 and 6). Any other ideas?????

Thanks!
Shannan
