Theres a place near me that are selling ready to lay RSL's. Not sure how good they are looks wise, they are coming from a local dressing place. I am going to get mine on thursday (depending on how they look healthwise etc). BUT ... I am about 1hr 45 mins east of you in Millmont.

Does anyone have any tips on getting the hens to lay in the nesting boxes? I just opened them up Friday and got my first egg yesterday in a corner inside the coop. She also keeps going in that corner and making a nest there. I put a golf ball in each of the three nesting boxes and I understand it may take a few weeks, but does anybody have any other tips?
 
Just thought I would ask before we make him dinner, we have a golden laced wyandotte rooster for free if anyone wants him. He is 5 months old. Cannot be with kids, he has started attacking our daughters. Let me know if you want him. We are in the snow shoe/bellefonte area.
