Pennsylvania!! Unite!!

My dear friends,
The turkeys came back. And this time, got the game commission out. He tracked down the owner, who is a guy that lives on the other side of these woods and decided to raise them just for watching them, but they just took off. He doesn't want them and told Game commission to tell me to take them.
Two have disappeared, and the game commission thinks between coyotes and traffic it is not surprising. We now have them, and they are safe and sound. No more holding my breath waiting for them to cross the road! WHEW!!!

Your gain is an idiots loss...it you can figure out what they are. please post ......

That is fine! I have about the same size. I have 12 chicks living in 312 (13x24) sq ft run and 22 sq ft coop, and I am going to get that down to 7-8 chickens when they are fully grown. They are 8 weeks right now so 12 isn't a problem.

I read this. Decided to google it.

For all of you who didn't watch it, sit down and don't eat while doing so. This is honestly one of the saddest, most disgusting things I have ever seen and I do not even understand how it is legal. Even if you have no sympathy for chickens (which all of us obviously do), it makes you disgusted about where your eggs/ food come from. I am sick to my stomach and I think I am done eating eggs until my girls start laying. No animal should be treated like this.
yeah...its pretty ugly....I'm not a peta person....but its bad...won't be buying any poultry/eggs at wegmans....

The man told the game comm. officer they are indeed spanish Blacks. I am going to spend the night reading up on them. These are my first turkeys. I am not even sure if they are toms or girls. Would post the pics I just took, but this page is not letting me.
Apparently, he doesn't even have a farm. Just wants to watch them walk around. They almost got hit by I dont know how many cars, and we have too many predators here. Two are missing. Apparently, he has some reds over there too.

This is why I wanted to raise my own. Yes, I got carried away with pure show chickens, but I still eat their eggs sometimes. I have only has to buy eggs from the store a handful of times in the last 3.5yrs (usually around cookie season and summer salad season).
