It can go either way. In my experience, they still begin in the winter. Last year my girls began in November and December, with one beginning in February. My girls will be 18 weeks on Monday. Do you think they will lay soon or just wait until spring (breeds are in signature)?

Oh yeah, those seabrights are a 'whole lotta attitude' in an itty bitty package. Are you the one that was looking for a Marans? I may have a pullet available. My zip is 19375. Lemme know in a PM if you're interested and I'll get an exact hatch date, price and permission from 'the boss'.lol! That's too funny.
I have 2 Sebrights in my flock with 8 full sized chickens. I just put a brick or two beside the feeder and water and make them use a step stool. They don't seem to mind. The 4 new babies have now passed them out in height and size so they're the smallfries of the flock once again. It's a good thing they've got such big attitudes.
There is a good possibility, are you adding light? My Orps were hatched at the end of April, beginning of May and not an egg yet!My girls will be 18 weeks on Monday. Do you think they will lay soon or just wait until spring (breeds are in signature)?
