how much how often? i got some today....without iron

Sorry!, I don't measure, just about a 1/4 dropper full a few times/day.

Silkiesensation, I hear ya on the treacherous hills, our goats are at the highest point on the property, I actually used a sled to come down the hill tonight after tying down tarps.

fisher, last pic is a SG dorking?.......very kewl......

She is a Silver Pencil Rock.... they are beautiful birds, she is the friendliest of the 5 SPR hens we have.... usually underfoot or very close nearby any time I am outside. Very curious about stupid people tricks for sure. I can understand the Dorking mix up though, I love the SG dorkings, but haven't found a local source for heritage eggs from them yet. I was lucky enough to find a SQ breeder of the SPRs when Gracie was broody in the spring, so went with them.

I would love to find an egg source for heritage Cornish and Dorking birds...

Here is another pic of Lacey showing off her pretty feathers....

:lol:Sorry! I'm not sure anyone else in this house knows how to take photos.... Perhaps I'll try to get a 'selfie' next time I'm on a sled. Lol

We've got the grands here and they needed another sled, I don't think I would have gotten on it otherwise.

Hi everybody! I've been MIA and have a lot of catching up to do. Started an ebay selling business on the side, got sick and been generally busy. Just wanted to pop in and say Hello!

Christmas is coming fast and that means my chickens will be coming soon after! I'm very excited but also nervous to have little baby chicks!

I will be looking to purchase some day old or very young chicks in February. If anyone plans on having some at that time, please let me know. I am interested in hens that are decent layers, friendly, and cold hardy (love those big birds!). I only am getting four (boo, hiss, and disbelief, I know!:p) and I need to have an exit strategy in case we get a surprise roo.

That pot pie looks very yummy!

He sure liked it! I wrote down what all I put in it after dinner so I can make it again. I rarely start with recipes, more just 'ideas' that I have to then figure out what could make them work.... if they work well then I write it down and add it to my recipe box. DH calls them my 'mad scientist experiments'...

Weather forecast is freaking me out. I want to get the feed and water done before the storm, but don't want the water out before light as it will freeze. I hit a deer last night, first time for me. Very upsetting, screwed up my front end, had to drive home at 20 mph as the bumper is pressed up against my tire. :(

Glad you are okay! I have heard before that October and November have the most deer-car accidents because it is mating season. Makes sense!
