HELP!!!! My one hen is acting werid....She is eating and drinking but she seems off balance. She walks and kinda falls over and uses her wing to like balance herself/keep herself up.... Any ideas? Looks normal other wise/ feet/eyes/nose all clear.

Brittany, how did your hen make out? and if at all possible....moor puppy pics, please?!:D

LMP...really? THAT is your ideas of a wet dog? You should see my Bell when it rains. So pathetic and muddy, I believe her pup may be just a teensy bit pampered.

And they jelly I was making was hot pepper jelly....dang stuff came out all runny, I'm not sure if I didn't cook it long enough...or maybe I didn't add enough pectin.

Did you know that you can just drink the runny, no need to bother spreading it on bread, it's a lot handier that way.

......Sorry about your jelly Blarney...hey, if the taste is there, that is all that matters!...although it is understandable your disappointment..

...you could even "dip" your pieces of bread, cubed is nice too...
Caesar- I try to keep him out of the muck & mire..it is a royal pain giving him a bath, well..not so much the bath part, but it takes FOREVER for him to dry..i blow-dry him for about 45 mins to an 1 hour..then he finishes with airing out

...it takes an entire day-night to completely dry. then brush-brush-brush!!!

LittleMissPurdy your pommie is absolutely adorable! <3

Speaking of watery jelly, we did a batch of green tomato jelly that refused to set up this year too. Re did it like three times. Finally just took it all and poured it over the garden along with the rest of the scraps. The chickens loved it. ^_^

Soooo.... who around here keeps Cream Legbars? 'da Hubby himself has actually mentioned expanding the run and coop a couple of times lately. And if we do in the spring I definitely would love to think about getting a couple of those, like two maybe and a Black Copper Marans hen or two as well.

So, if anybody has them, what are they like? Do you ever sell any *hint hint* And stuff like that.

Katt:

I have a boy and am looking for a couple of girls too....the only person that I know that has them is H&H near Harrisburg....here's a link to a CCL group....https://sites.google.com/site/creamlegbarclublaunch/membership-listing

Harrisburg is very doable for me. It's only about two hours or so away. I'd DEFINITELY drive that far for these birds. They are amazing looking. And they lay blue eggs.
