It wouldn't let me quote, but thank you everyone for your condolences. I'm probably going to wait until spring for a new flock member, because I also wanted a banty cochin. So I may just get them at the same time. No I take that back because of quarentine. But I'm gonna hold off for now. So now I only have a hen and a rooster. Guess I have to edit my signature. How depressing.

Chippy:

Hopefully my chooks will go broody and I'll have a couple of chicks for you in the spring maybe a couple of olive eggers...keep your chin up!!!

We do not do gifting for adults either, which is why I wanted to see everyone else's...but as you can see I bought my own gift, and the captain came with a friend called bailey

I hatched out a Buff Columbian bantam Cochin! Yes, a single chick - unexpectedly - on Christmas.

I decided to sell my Toulouse geese - a pair. The gander (Beau) tries to be mean, but he's been raised right, I guess. Just walk towards him or hiss back and he goes the other direction. Never flogged or bit anyone. I cooked their son for Xmas and I messed it up. I decided I didn't want to raise something that was so hard to cook. Turkey is easy to make and pretty much fool proof! Even the fresh ones! Plus, I like the turkeys personality over the geese.

I am weeding out my Mille Fleur bantam Cochin project, too. I am making room for my chocolate bantam Cochin project, the Ameraucanas and I want to add Marans to the mix. I have a US x English bantam Orp project pen I am testing out, too. I am going to keep the nicest MFCs I have, which aren't many, and go from there. I actually want to downsize drastically, but I can't seem to part with as many birds as I should.
