My dog is out all night, I think she's helped very very much with our coon problems. Here she is…and the question at the moment is….what did she do with the rest of the deer?

She really is a cutie!!!, my guy brought back a deer leg after going AWOL one evening last week....he's chased the local foxes and I have only had one attempt on my chooks from a coon/fox....it was when I first moved them outside....I think ground critters give wide berth to the pooches...especially big ones!

awe she's adorable! She may have just found it in the woods. My neighbor dumps all his scraps in the woods after he butchers his deer and my dogs bring back legs, meat hunks, joints. All kinds of nasty things. At least it's cold and the meat stays chilled. I'd be worried if it were summer.

I hear ya....the boy in my avatar went down in the spring of 2011....and I not a day goes by that he doesn't cross my mind....so far I've adopted one and fostered nine others...you never replace them but I will always have a pooch or two hanging around....

What do you have hatching? May be looking to add some CCLs in the spring, you interested in them? maybe we could split a doz or two of hatching eggs? Maybe a couple of other folk would be interested too? Not long til spring.....

Guys I really really can't wait until spring!!! e

I wanted strawberries too, but I can just buy some at the feed store. I also saved seeds from the pumpkins we carved. I have blueberry and raspberry bushes at my house, along with pear, apple, cherry, and nectarine trees at my house. I also have spearmint growing next to the coop. So I'm gonna have a good crop come Fall 2014.

Yay, I am finally caught up on my reading! Been busy with my puppies, (mom is done being mom and doesn't like to feed them). Hubby was busy making roofs for our chicken and turkey runs. Not complete roof on the run but a place to sorta stay dry. We wrapped the back of the runs in a tarp to keep the wind and snow from blowing in. Hopefully the chickens and turkeys like their improvements
