:he  taking a load of duck eggs to work with me to sell as eating eggs,,, it is way to early for me to set eggs,,, especially duck,,, do not want them in the house any longer than i have to.......but I waited so long for these muscovy eggs that it is hard to eat them......:smack gotta do it...

I got 2 empty bators. Wonder how well they would ship...

I think they may have gotten to cold for that, plus hubby stuck them in the fridge when he got home with them........I plan on setting some in mid feb...I will let you know how fertility is on them...

Maybe we can swap some eggs or babies later. I have anconas & calls that should lay soon, plus the turkeys.

Any update Stake? Hoping she is getting better.
Thanks! Gonna have to have DH pick up the ingredients I want after work today... I don't drive into town if I don't really have to, since he can pick up most items after work and save us the vehicle mileage and gas.

Fisher:

I can't figure whats going on.....she isn't eating or drinking....not even scrampled eggs....she is alert and has good body weight....she is just not doing anything...I forced some wazine without results....then forced tetracycline....no visible results..I just got back from TS with Ivermectin....and dosed her....her buddy my #2 dork is starting to show the same behavior but she is still eating...all other birds are doing well....who knows

Anyone have the map link for PA BYCers? I have a young man that is really into his chickens and is on the FB groups with alot of us, name is Jeremy, Great kid, anyway he is asking around for banty eggs of any sort. He has a broody. I have offered to ship him some for free but I cant do that until the weather breaks, so if anyone close can spare a few tinies I am CERTAIN he would be more than thrilled. This is his area
And I'm in Titusville. And there is franklin, oil city, meadville, erie, and I can go to Sharon.

lol I needed to go back a few pages for a post, but I gotcha! thanks!

Ok, 1 less thing left on the To Do list. I found enough extension cords to string together to run lights to the coop. The ducks & geese got a 60w utility light & the chickens & turkeys got a 250w brooder light hanging from the rafters 6 ft up. Not gonna help much with heat but I just wanted the light anyway.

Just finished cleaning out the coops and runs and putting down dry bedding. I adjusted some tarps and need to add more. Just taking a break cause I'm freezing, and the temperature hasn't even dropped yet.

Good for you! I cleaned out 2 pens on Saturday. A few hours later I checked and they were busy bathing and relaxing in the new hay. It's nice to see contented chickens. I was uncomfortably cold, but they seemed quite happy in their feather coats. Made all the work worthwhile.

Your birds will appreciate your effort.

Sally, Sorry for the delayed response. I am trying desperately to get caught up on this thread! I have extra bantam langshan and porcelain d'uccle, and also mixed d'Uccle eggs. PM me info if no one else has volunteered any. Michelle
