What's the last breed...did a head count and looks like they sent you some spares....was this a big hatchery or a boutique hatchery? Green with envy....I'm having a case of spring fever and really wish one of my girls would go broody.....

also, crazy baby roo (hasn't ever crowed even at 6mos) is interested my dork...what makes this unusual is that she's a year old and has never laid an egg, and big roo has showed no interest in her....go figure....
 
Just a thought.....

Saw a report on drought in CAL....some said a historic drought...if so...best think about enlarging your garden...my two cents.....

Uhhgg...that is something I did not want to hear. Hubby wanted to enlarge the garden (that meant me doing it) last year and I said no way. Now I want to get out and start planting and its only...hmmm almost February. I can envision myself breaking new ground now. Pressure canner is on the list of must haves for this year. Of course it needs to be bigger cuz the chickens need food too...shhh don't tell lol.
