Stumpy tends to go backward with wings extended for balance when in open spaces but is able to go forward pretty well in his smaller area where he can use his wing against the wall for support. As you can see, he lost both feet & a small portion of each leg.

Does anyone on here make their own soaps? I have have been reading about it and really want to try it. I have read most of the threads on this sight but most of them have gone dead. I am more confused now than when I started reading. Have also Googled and am still confused. If anyone can help me out that would be great.

Poor stumpy. Looks like he doing ok. Keep up the good work with him Silkie

He's all healed up. Just a matter of making things easy for him to get to now.

I do, but from bases I order in instead of using lye & oil. Much easier to start this way & work up to doing it completely ffrom scratch. I think Bettacreek does hers from lye & oil if you prefer to learn that method first.

question for this group..............

I lost power for some time....................definitely one full day

maybe a day and a half to almost 2 days..................

So the eggs in the fridge are they still okay?

I am kinda thinking they are because they would be okay without refrigeration .......................but what about if you refregerate and then lose power and then power comes back

is this problematic?

thanks for your advice
