just found a stash of about 10 duck eggs,,,,,to bad they were frozen.........since Sally has talked me into the easter hatch, scovy/pekin eggs would have be perfect,,,,(I would have the excuse that they are for a meat customer, since they would not be good for much else)..

hopefully I can get some pens seperated till set time,,,I do not want to hatch more mixes,,, my layer pen is overflowing with roosters as it is,,,need to do some serious camp sign-ups...just been to cold to sit and watch to decide who stays and who goes..

if anybody else wants mixed eggs for the easter hatch, give a holler,,,I just need notice so they do not get washed and put in the fridge (I have hatched such eggs though)...I can not predict what will hatch,,,the possibilities are endless...

I had to carry one of those OE boys with me all morning while doing chores,,,,those two are getting to the point of trying to show me that they are boss,,,,,seems that just carrien them around now and then puts them in their place,,,kinda funny how they tuck their heads in shame when their hens are around...

we shall see how they behave,,, I want to keep one of them but only if they behave....

I know I should know this...But I am tring to figure out what I want to add to my flock this spring since I lost a few this winter I have some room...I know I want to EE cause they lay blue and green eggs....Which Hens lay the Chocolate eggs?

just had an interesting conversation with a co worker,,,they are headed to the dragon tomorrow in search of pheasant meat,,, when they told me what they were willing to pay, I was floored,,,,they said it is a delicasy.....welll when I was growing up that kind of meat only cost you the price of the lead,,,,,,,,how times change.....can you even find wild pheasant in pa anymore..???

by the way, I would love to have a pheasant pen, just do not see much of a market for it.....they are beautiful birds though....

I saw a bunch of the Duravet on Amazon 4oz for about $6...I got an 8oz package for $6 at Pickering...think your stuff is alot less expensive!....
