I had the same question about my baby roo.....he's never crowed....though just yesterday he got his cherry popped....

we'll probably come to you eventually lol. My husband wants to do meat birds and needs to learn (I'm against it because I can't handle it lol)

Here, I'll give you her blatting word for word 

 An Araucana lays mostly pink and green eggs, where as an Americana lays Blue and green usually. They have slightly different colors, as only one breed has browns+caramels, and the other can have white+grays. I should know, I farm them. :3 I just call all of them Americunas, a mix of the two. Green is the most common color, and then green, and then pink is very rare. If you feed Americunas orange or purple food, they lay orange or purple eggs(sometimes). White Americunas are super pretty. If the green egg became the Classic Americuna, I would so die and hoard. /end of rant/

I try to steer clear of the whole Auracauna, Ameraucana, EE debate. But I did enjoy reading the post you quoted. My favorite line is: 'Green is the most common color, and then green'.
 
Well, I'm exhausted already :-/. I thought I'd help DH by getting outside and working on digging out some of our coop's Foundation holes since I know how exhausted he's going to be after work as it is. I did one whole hole. I'm hoping I can get at least one more done before he comes home but I don't know. There's a ton of rocks and roots and stupid clay dirt. Yuck. I'm taking a break lol.

I am soooooo on board with this. DS is looking forward to learning to process. We've got to get some meat chicks!
 
I was hesitant to offer that,,,,,,,,I do not want to put off those that do not process...BUT...

seems to be a real need for others to learn,,, and after you do you will be amazed how easy the process is (well after the initial killing part, that is still tough even for me) ......and the satisfaction of eating what you raised...
