Sharron!!!! Enjoy your day!
thank you, so far its been , well , i guess interesting, took all my young biddys out to the big brooder, bill had rigged up a feed tray to make it easier to feed without opening the brooder, i didn't think the older chicks could go thru it, not only could they, but the little cochins jumped up, and out so most of the morning was spent chasing the little poops to get back into the brooder, two of the cochins got out of the shed and of course the first place they ran to get away was down into the creek, little snots but finally got all of them, at least i think, not sure how many i have

Gotta love the little ones! Escape artists doesn't even come close!

Hope you have a good afternoon and your birthday dinner is special!!

Feel Better LMP! I hope everyone near the storms stays safe, doesn't look like we're getting any.

I feel your pain with the garden. I really thought I could keep the. Out with the 7 foot wildlife netting, but....not so much. I chase them out several times a day too. There was a group that got themselves stuck INSIDE the garden fence after dusk tonight. Jeez!

GavinMcCloskey, welcome! Stake and I are from Ridley, so pretty familiar with Delco.

I'm glad we're all in the same boat. I have some bamboo for poles, just need to find the zip ties to secure the fencing. Those girls!

They can be little escape artists! The other day my leghorn was on the wrong side of the fence. How the heck did that happen? She found a 5" gap next to the gate. Thankfully, she was quickly retrieved!

...Hope you have a wonderful day!! Sure is nice outside today for you!!

These are leather britches...aka.. dried green beans..

I remember helping my aunt every summer when we went to Georgia, so maybe it is just a southern thing...but it was fun and something I would like to pass to the grandkids....they also came out rather tasty but I was a kid and have no idea how she cooked them....

ohhhh, never saw that before, well...with chili peppers..... OKay, so now I realize I have been making a mistake blanching my beans before freezing..no wonder they get little 'weird'. Have to try NOT blanching!
**CC- going to check out that "how to" , need to know what this is all about

Make someplace for it in an open area of the yard, create it back to back on posts about 3 ft off of the ground... then it can be a decorative hawk cover! And you could plant it with strawberries or cucumbers or any other regular garden plant instead of flowers in every other box!
