omgosh!! so awesome! okay, so when are you planning on starting the production line?!:clap ...really nice coop., linoleum and everything, does that window slide open?,..and that little guy is cool, looks like a real "leader" type! It is always the small ones -one must be on the watch for;) ....

The window opens out on the outside and can be taken off completely :) Thanks! I'm glad you like it but I'm not planning on doing this again for a LONG LONG time, if ever lol. We still don't have the run done which is the next venture, the shed part is only half done (still missing a couple walls lol) and the roof only has the felt paper stuff up so far.
Little Chip suffers from "little man syndrome" as my husband puts it. It doesn't matter how much the big boys put him down, he still insists that he's the boss lol even though the big boys are easily 5 times his size!

I had put at the end of that post "Someone please take my brooder away from me! I am at the end of my window for getting any EE chicks! I am feeling broody!

I deleted it because no one here will talk me down. No, I know for a fact that you, and at least three other people will talk me UP!! Instead of hatching a dozen es, you guys will talk me into hatching 40-60!

Nope... I would do the dirty dozen and stay with that... then you will have room in the coop for any other breed which catches your eye at a later date....
now I would offer to get the EE eggs and deliver them.... but that's just being neighborly, not enabling!

Here are a couple pictures of inside the coop. DH will be finishing things up this weekend while we're away and they get to go in on Monday morning. I didn't get any pictures of the garage free ranging lol but that's the little culprit there that was leading the others around lol.

Aura:

Nice coop....your chooks will be happy campers!

I thought she was gonna die, and I still can't rule that out, but she's doing way better. She's still a bit out of it, but she goes out with to other hens and eats and drinks now

for my two cents, sounds like your girl has turned the corner...and is getting back in the game.....I always fed a few scrambled/ hard boiled eggs to my sick ones and it helped them alot...

Can anyone tell me how the sale works at the Green Dragon tomorrow? If I bring chickens to sell do they have cages to put them in or do I need boxes of my own to put them in to sell? Thanks
On their special Auction days you provide the box/cage and it sells with the chicken. You are not allowed to keep the cage like on the regular Friday night auctions. They will not have sale cages for these Special sales.

I used to charge for "blow-dry" styles..hahahaha...
Good question on the ticks..i guess when you do your "hen-checks"..look for anything..icky..hahahaha...
** FarmerMike-Glad to hear your girl is doing better, fingers crossed she pulls through 100%:fl
I love the smell when we do drive through Hershey...I love going to the Zoo..we do the Free days in January, so cool to go through there in the winter..the animals are very active believe it or not...

Ditto, used to charge for blow drys too. But I specialized in nails. Still do! ;). My girls went to bed with some wet feathers. It's warm enough, and their torsos/bodies were pretty dry, so they can tough it out.

Neighborly? Is that what we're calling it now? :p

No joke, I went to fill up my glass of juice that I had left in the cup holder on the couch. When I brought it to the kitchen, I noticed it had a "crumb" on the ledge. Turned out to be a large tick!. :sick
