Pennsylvania!! Unite!!

Mine are 12 weeks old. Got them March 22.

LMP, are you going to Green Dragon just for the day? Or are you going to be down there for the weekend? I may be getting yet another job up your way, also. Is everyone in NB, Westport, Crossfork, Renovo refinancing? This is bizarre.
hahaha...we did last May( '13), got it at 2.875!!...ahahaha...not going to be that low for a longggg time!....I don't understand what would be the issue up here for that...there are a lot of properties up for sale though. Older Generation is leaving..but not too many younger buyers...well, any buyers for that matter. The properties up here are good deals..IMO, helps to be able to be handy with tools and such, but for what you get, i think half decent deals could be made...it is the location that kills though...not too much in the way of work/jobs...industry is non-existent. This is a pretty "depressed" area as far as that goes,.... but it is beautiful.... So I have no-idea what is going on...

Going to be in Lanc. Co till at least Saturday. My granddaughter is getting a 'photo shoot' in Philly, we are meeting with her "agent/manager" ...hahaha, okay, guess i need to explain now...ahahaha, she has been contracted to do photos, maybe commercials..maybe even movies..it is exciting to think of the possibilities. So, that being said, Friday we will be down..i am going to green dragon...then Saturday meeting & photos...then we will see where everyone is at/how we all feel, we may come home Saturday, that will be a long trip..might just wait till Sunday..My daughter , G-baby and myself are making the trip..hubby is staying home to play farmer, and look after the animals for me...love that guy!

You got to stop by some time...I know you have to drive right by us!

So 34 of the 39 eggs have hatched so far. The babies are so cute and I'm having fun trying to figure out what they are. I have one with feathered legs and four toes...any guesses?

Wingstone..I am interested in Muscovy eggs. And more hatching eggs from you and CC :)

Our neighbors cow has gone through the electric fence twice and visited our garden. Left us a free pile of manure and ate all our cabbage plants, some of our bean seedlings and our cantaloupe plants. At least we got the free manure.
34 from 39...wow, what a hatch rate!!

Work it out with CC for when he will have eggs, I always have mixed eggs for hatching, give me advance notice on the duck eggs, most days I get 2 eggs from the scovies.

Need a pic of the chick to narrow that one down

I like your sense of humor on the cow visit...

We had some sunbathers this evening when we let them out for a while lol.
I love when they do that! It's incredible how flat they get! One of my girls often does "the flamingo". Holds one foot up under her and then... Plop. Just lays down to take a nap. On a side note, my parrots only sleep on one foot too.....

Hey, they are replacing our plants so I can't be too upset. I hope the cow enjoyed the cabbage :)

So here's the chick with 4 toes and feathered legs:

Here's another chick that looks different than all the rest...it is a beautiful reddish brown color.

And here's my Rhode Island red chick. I was worried that the chicks weren't going to be able reach the waterer when they moved into the big coop, but they quickly figured out how to drink...they either jump up and hit it, or they hang upside down on the top of the waterer and drink. It is adorable.

Hello PA! I am new the BYC and chickens. Just got my 7 at Easter time. I am in the eastern area of PA. Are there any others in this area? Would anyone be interested in a Barred Plymouth Rock rooster for free? He is 8 weeks old and really sweet. We got him by surprise since I ordered all females. Would love to keep him but I don't think my neighbors will appreciate him. So far no crowing yet! Great to see that there are so many people from PA!

Welcome! Glad you dropped by. There are a lot of us in eastern PA, especially in the Philly 'burbs (south east). I'm in Chester Co.
