LMP, I totally agree! Just had my first cup outside with hubby on the porch with the view that Stake appreciates. Had one of my daughter's Polish fly up to join us. Beautiful, peaceful morning. I will keep you in my thoughts next week, surgery is no fun, and recovery.... Ugh.

Our family has been facing some pretty tough news these past few weeks, told hubby this morning that it feels like we are being punished. Also, that it must be because of something he did, cause I'm pretty nice.

ditto, did the coffee on the patio this morning, I don't have the view Blarney has, but it was pretty nice out there....wanted to do some leaves today but the wind is blowing a but much for that....(any excuse will do)....

Thanks for the idea's everyone, I really do enjoy what we are doing, especially when I get the people that stay and help out, they really do want to learn. Now that might be bad for business but it still feels good...I make sure to tell those one's that they can just rent the equipment.
Every Saturday for the past 7 weeks has been processing in one way or another, and I have at least 3 more weekends lined up.
On another note, I had somebody stop and flash a badge, he was really nice about things, just told me that a few thi nGS had to be done differently,,,,his main concern seemed to be that we had proper refrigeration and we are putting tags on everything to identify it coming from us.

I must be doing something to attract the attention of someone like that, guess that means our name is out there.

I do not like the chemicals that we need to use between each processing but that is part of what needs to be done... hubby has been doing that part so I avoid contact as much as possible but it still runs from the machines into the gravel driveway and sinks in.

anne- are you the one that is/was making the aprons from the bags too??...the grocery bag idea is great!!
Glad to hear the fox hasn't been back for in your yard... i do understand completely about wanting to "accidentally" bump into it with your vehicle:cool:

It is so beautiful out this morning..the smell in the air is absolutely intoxicating:weee ....., mornings are the best "self" times...just feeding/caring for the animals...birds doing their early morning thing-the little winter birds are showing up here...no traffic/people noises....hot cup of coffee & the beautiful mountains..awesome stuff!:)

I don't make aprons, so far I like the bags better, but the aprons are a fund idea too. The grocery bags are THE BEST because they are so tough and can hold a heck of a lot. And they're cute too, that never hurts. It was gorgeous today, still is! It was a wonderful brisk morning for a brisk walk with the dog, only did a half hour today though. And sending healing prayers your way for surgery...

Hope things get better for you! :hugs

Is any one interested in this animal cage? You can have it for free, it was given to me for free with my Silkies. If no one wants it, I will put it up on CL. I would keep it, but I don't have much room. I just gave it a good scrub this morning, it needed it. :sick It looks like it was repainted and patched with some fiberglass. The top completey comes off and it has access from the top and front. The dimensions are approximately 45x20x20". Pick up only please. My zip is 18974 for reference. Here is my biggest girl, Mary Poopins, for size comparison (she is a black Australorp.)

I would grab that in a second if you lived about 4 hours west! LOL.... looks like it would make an awesome 'chicken hospital' or a good 'time out' cage. It's a shame you can't find room for it.

I have a couple of these, they are perfect for quail brooding and easily washed ( baby quail are messy)

HELP!!!
I can not find oregano in oil form, where can I buy this? Would it be cost effective or should I just keep using dried oregano?

And LMP, I need a recipe for BBQ tofo, any clue, a coworker used to make this, it was crunchy on the outside and a creamy middle, cut into bite sized pieces with just a hint of BBQ flavor.

Anne:

I could put it to use...to echo Fisher, it'd be a good hospital for the winter....if you are going to visit Blarney, I'd probably be on the way (more or less). Let me know...
