She is gorgeous... it is hard to tell the size with no point of reference in the pic (other than width of the metal roofing)..... about what do your hens end up at weight wise?
This pullet is closer to bantam size than large fowl. Weight wise she will probably end up weighing 2 -2 1/2 lbs.

I like this Dun color. 6 month old pullet.
What a gorgeous color!
My plan is to keep it going, but I don't have a rooster in that color to do it with. I'll just use this one. I should get some offspring in the dun color.
What color will the little roo be that I am returning to you soon? (If he makes it to adulthood, I'm not askng any questions....;)

No one has silkies for sale?

There is a breeder- Liz, in Coatesville, not far from me. She has show quality Partridge, she did rather well at the Farm Show this year. PM me, if interested and I can get you more info.

Well Gracie is at it again...5 hatched so far, 2 more doubtful...Barnyard mixes

Ahhhhh! Such sweetness.

How do I get the breeds I want when I only want a few, and the local feed stores don't get what were looking for?

It can be frustrating to say the least....

Options include buying chicks from breeders able to ship or close enough for you to pick up, this tends to be more expensive and very risky depending on the time of year, but if a breeder has 2 or 3 of the breeds you are interested in then you may do better price and lower risk (many breeders won't ship a small number of chicks due to risks during transport which are lower with more birds)

Some hatcheries will also mix breeds to fill an order, so you can do 2 or 3 of each, some even allow 1 or 2 of each, but you will probably have a minimum quantity you need to order to get them to do it and you still have the transport risks....

You can order hatching eggs from either a breeder or hatchery, prices will vary depending on the availability of stock and the quality of the birds. Once you have the eggs you will need to incubate them yourself or find someone close by with incubating experience who can help you out. Again it is a higher risk because shipped eggs are notorious for low hatch rates due to being jostled so much during transport.

List the breeds you want on here and place an ad with a list of wanted birds on the 'wanted/sales' section.... hopefully it will generate some results.

Do a search on here to see if there is an active thread about a breed you are interested in, then visit the thread, read through at least a couple months of it to get an idea of what they discuss and then see if any thread members live within driving distance of you so you can get some birds direct from them...

Good luck on your search.
