Pennsylvania!! Unite!!

Ok, So the actual NE area of PA. I used to live in actual Northeast (The name of the town) Pa. I always thought it was a stupid name for a town found in NW PA!

18angovem - I like to go up there every year and pick apples to make Apple sauce and pies. My apple trees haven't started producing yet. Hopefully this year.

How much is it? I thought it was only the cost of the hive? There is someone near me who sells Nucs for only 200 dollars and they are a hive and all the bees! So that is a good price!

Anyone who is close enough to Altoona to make the trip, the First Stop Shop has CASES of strawberries for $2 a case

we just picked up 20 cases

How big is a case (how many pounds) and where is it? I'm half an hour away or so.

400

8 lbs per case. If you come into Altoona from 36, you go under the railroad bridge and it's only about half a block or so on the left hand side. If you're coming in on I-99, take 17th St exit and turn left just past boyer candy. Go over the railroad tracks then turn right at the stop sign. Maybe another half a block and It'll be on your right.

yes they did. They brought out a whole pallet full to load our car and the car after us but there were A LOT of people getting them. I know we took 20, the guy after us took 25, and the people before us took 10. I'm going to stop by tomorrow and get more since I'll be down there again.
