2. saw two truck load of battery chooks heading to the processing plant...(Fredrick DE)...they did not look happy....
3 saw a B-17 flying near Dover,,,its one of two that are left from WWII
4 got a white egg today....its either from my BL (though she's only laid medium sized eggs) or ???
5 got home and I have run out of oil...house was 50....got the wood stove cranking, the space heater running and the oven...have to wait til tomorrow to see how long it will take to get a drop...
6, batter was running but the 40 watt light bulbs were barely keeping up...had to swap out for some 60watts....
7 and my reason to go to OC MD was a bust...per sey....

a crazy day....

Hope tomorrow is better for you!

Get 10 gallons of kerosene our diesel from the gas station. Both work, diesel is essentially the same as fuel oil, kero supper close. Been told by the oil company and techs it causes no problem.

Been there, done that.

yeah....bleeding the lines will be the *****...maybe....who knows....timing sucks though.....

Welcome from cambria County! And congrats on your new babies! Hard to believe that was me last year :) You'll be an expert in no time. Especially hanging out here lol

oh yes, thats the only reason i wanted to come back. found a new veggie green while there, seems down south they're starting to grow rape, its a green like collards, more tender, tast:drool ier and cooks up faster, the main thing is they make canola oil from it.

Up here we call that "deer food."It is one of the things planted in fields as a deer attractant and winter food.

Kind of like squid, on the west coast it is "calamari", here it is "bait."

Just kidding! This coming from the guy who eats dandelion and a number of other weeds out of his yard, plantain, sweet clover....

If you like collards, you'd probably enjoy dandelion, just make sure you get it very young from am area they don't use chemicals. Good cooked or on a salad. Very few people steal my lunch at work.

My dad was a navigator during WWII, his crew was one of the first to complete their 25 missions so they could come home. Had to do a belly landing twice do to shrample damage.
My roo moved to freezer city yesterday, he went after the grandson. He is going to move to crockpotville or ovenburg this weekend.
