Another one just like it hatched over night! It's so cool, they're like twins even though they're not.

The orpingtons will probably be yellow based. Lemon cuckoo rooster over blue and black hens. There are also some partridge. There is a lavender rooster in there, too, but not sure he is contributing at the moment. He's far down the pecking order.

If I could upload pics, I'd take a few of some 5 week olds I have to show the variety.

See, I thought some were partridge! There's one black with a brown face that made me kinda go hmmm. And there's a light blue one with a brown face. Is blue partridge even a thing? I only got one yellow orp.

One all black one (with some copper splashes) with feathered feet came out of an sfh egg, and a light yellow with black smudges came out of a light brown egg. Is it possible you mixed up the silkie mix eggs with the sfh eggs?

Entirely possible. She has a habit of fence jumping. Her eggs are impossible to distinguish from the sfh

new baby, happily snuggled up. ... on her back lol

My little Mocha is going to grow up to be either one heck of a rooster or an awesome mama! She's 3 weeks old and in there with all the new babies and she's already calling them to the food and teaching them how to eat and cuddling up with them lol
