Niko is still broody. Will go out for BOSS in the evening but tonight I had to toss her out. How long do I wait to see if she is serious? Does anyone have meat bird eggs for her?

My new Bourbon red turkey poults have made it to the world! Only 2 out of the 6 that were due made it. Didn't help that my Temps dropped to 95 two nights in a row and a power outage for 2 hours dropped it to 85. The other 4 were fully evermore and up until the power outage, at least 4 were moving in the shells. I have 2 more going into lockdown now so hourly they make it.

Well I have the same problem again with the same Cochin except this time she won't stop. I would have to say she's winning. I put her in a cage off the ground for 3days and she didn't stop. Then I held her in water for a bit with her head out of water of course that didn't cool her down. I also got rid of my rooster and now no fertile eggs. So I'm looking for some fertile eggs for her hopefully black cooper marans or another great layer anyone want some chicks I would give them back some chicks.

Well folks:

Been a tad hectic on the chicken front....4wk olds will be out side on the weekend for a meet and great with the adults...because of the foxes being a PIA my two roos are in separate coops and have started fighting through the fence...I have one day old and will pick up a couple of day old to hang with her...aside from that one of my CCLs has gone broody on a hand full of eggs and I have just set x13 Dorkings, x5 bared Hollands and x4 CCLs....chicken math gone wild......
 
The chickens are the easiest thing in my life at the moment. Even with Niko. Could I get some prayers, please? The Big Guy is in the hospital with congestive heart failure and he is way too young for this schit

Absolutely. Sorry to hear that. If it help, my father was diagnosed with that years ago and is still with us, although they do have to monitor him. Will be praying... :hugs
