I got out to tractor supply today and picked up some vet wrap. Did my best to wrap the wing but I couldn't really find any examples. Did a figure 8 wrap as demonstrated on a falcon and then tried to wrap the wing to the body, sling style. Not sure I got the shoulder up as high as it should be, but he was not really happy with me and I didn't want to hold him longer than necessary.

In the heat, a chicken drops its wings to cool off. I know a droopy wing means something else. I really hope someone pops on with an idea of what. For the time being, you've done what you can.

Looks like you did a good job. Hopefully it will heal.
I'm amazed at how resilient animals are. I have a rooster who lost both his feet to frostbite over the winter. He healed with no intervention and manages to hobble around on his stubs. He doesn't breed, but he ears and comes out for food.

let me add that they are also the well educated one's who play at the country club with their lawyer friends, and they look at us as being dumb as dirt..husband never went to college, he farmed right out of high school

Wing, sounds to me like you have more family on this forum than anywhere else. I'm sure that everything will work out and if you guys do move, I'm sure anyone on here that's close would be more than happy to help with anything you need :)
