Hi I wanted to get everyones input. The bantam chickens I received from the chicken train are in a chicken tractor that is 1 1/2'X2 with a 6' run I haven't liked it from the beginning it just didn't feel like enough. So after today's family dinner I roped my brother in law into helping me. We started the new coop it will be on 2' legs and the coop will be 4'x4' and hopefully I will be able to put an 8' run on it. Do you all think that will be good I may put a few silkies in with them. I had a few eggs left from my hens before the bear attack that I hatched out and so I have five of them to put in there to. I just don't want them over crowded. Also the bantam rooster is starting to get aggressive I think because he just doesn't have enough space to be himself. Any and all opinions are greatly appreciated. We started on the frame of the coop and I'm gunna try and post pictures but for some reason I'm having trouble with it.

What day are we on for the newest clutch? Is it terrible I keep hoping one of my girls will go broody again? I need some exciting wonderful news these past few weeks.

An update, my Mom is starting to wake up, but they are going to have to put her on dialysis for a while and install a pacemaker before she leaves the hospital.

The turkey hens that went broody were a bust. Inexperience or something, the eggs went very bad at the end.

The Reese Legbar eggs are on day 8 and I candled 4 of them. Blue eggs are harder to see much, but they looked pretty good so far.

Best Wishes for your Mom! I've been amazed at how resilient the human body can be and it sounds like she's on her way to recovery, even if that takes a while.
 
I found some one to adopt my broiler chicks! I'm so happy because I really wanted a good home for them. I found these people on Craigslist but when I drove out to their farm, they actually had a really nice place and a flock of 60 hens for my babies to live with.

I'm sorry to hear of your trials in this life, but it is good to hear that your mother is improving.
 
Hi all. I am in SE PA - Pottstown. Taking cockerels to be processed tomorrow.

It's a bit of a drive, but needed done and couldn't find someone closer. I am taking three.

Figured I'd offer, even last minute, if anyone in the area wants me to take anything for them.

Since I'm going. All morning to get the birds here or on the way West toward Lancaster County.

do you think you could let them range? My kids have protected areas to hide, no predator pressure day time.

I have about a 70" diamater pen, never have to close the coop door, electric fence just 2 strands. I open gates at both ends..when I feel like getting out there. Easy breezy and they love it. Bantams and Standards.
