Pennsylvania!! Unite!!

ya we used to have a pigmy goat the fattest thing she would rip the garbage can out of ur hand and eat everything before u could pick it up and she would eat straw berrys and her lips would be all pink and we would take her for a short walk around the yard and she would pull u like crazy but sadly nanny died last winter of old age u wouldn't even know though that she were to going to die because she was fine the day before but nature must have taken its toll

Which is why I think all of you can understand that I am very confused as to why my girls from Fisherlady have not successfully brooded yet.
Maybe it is because I thought their birthday was in a few weeks, and it was actually last month. You have no idea how guilty I felt last night when I realized that!

Babies are hatching! My eggs from @dheltzel are on a roll! So far it looks like 2 BSL 1 reg legbar, and 5 reese legbars are out (plus 2 of my turkey poults). I've got to get these brooders rearranged lol

I think one of my CCL's is going broody. So far, none of my Marans have gone broody, even though 4 are now 2 years old. I guess they don't all read the breed descriptions about how they are supposed to act.

They sure don't read the book! My first broody ever was a White Leghorn and I have NEVER had a broody Marans or Orpington...go figure!

One of our smoke detectors is chirping and I just do NOT have the energy to figure out which one... Had the 4-H Meeting here at our house last night and I am whooped!!

Also....chicks are hatching!! One out and one zipped of the 8 that I had go into lockdown.

Good afternoon all:
Too many posts to reply individually....so,

Yes, Blarney is a goat fanatic...humm, any chance a billy goat would kick some fox tucas???

Was at Parkersburg TSC, many chicks and brown ducks...and one pail with "Dixie Rainbows" chicks???

Broodies: I've had some girls go broody...x1BO, x2 BC Marans, x1CCL, and one SG Dork helped the BO with her hatch and occasionally stole one baby to sleep with.....none ever went broody more than once....

Boyertown PA, (I can do that...)...maybe, any thoughts on mixing bantam with LFs......??? next week will be visiting PickereingValley feed for BOs and GLWs......

Lastly, need to de-worm the girls....I have wazine and 5mg pour on Ivermectin.....anybody have any suggestions???

Babies! I love spring!

It's strange that so many people have leghorn going broody. Chickens are full of surprises.
