He's Dillon, from Gunsmoke..: he got a very small sore between the pads of his paw and has been worrying it to the point it was rubbed open in a small spot and he was limping, so he's getting epsom salt soaks followed by a coating of triple antibiotic and a wrap, started improving immediately, so hoping a few more evenings of treatments should have it fixed up.

No problem! He usually answers to Doofus dog... Bonehead, Goon-dog and about half a dozen other terms of endearment Radioman has come up with over the years, he actually is scary smart about most things, just a little impulsive and never lost the puppy enthusiasm. He isn't as infatuated with the birds as Mindy is, but he is protective of them and everything else on 'his place' and is trustworthy enough to be unattended outside and in the coop.

Thanks for the offer. I haven't had any luck with younger roos and I don't want my kids to be afraid of the chickens.

I have never had any problem with young roosters they always turn out nice they are good with the girls but the only thing I haven't had luck with is them becoming so jumpy as they mature
