. I just came home tonight to find my turkey poult splattered in the road. He must have flown over the fence after it got dark and gotten lost and ended up in the road. I was really trying to keep him alive...

so sad anne....

Nice! I'm allergy to goose egg though. When I was a kid, my neighbor kept a goose and gave us some eggs. They were yummy. Then I had hives all over my body after eating the eggs. Every time I told nurses or doctor that I'm allergy to goose eggs, they all had funny looks on their faces like "you ate goose eggs? :sick "

Allergic to just goose eggs?? Do you react to duck eggs or chicken eggs?? Nothing's wrong with eating goose eggs, they just don't know what's good

well u know......I would like to have at least one welsummer, but the coop is full. Well we might be able to get one more in there....lol

I'm going to be getting a few more wellies soon if there are any left, maybe if there's a train later this fall I'll ship you out one of the young pullets :) or we could swap for your cornish

Hay, are there any vets on here?
I have a 2 month old chick that is just laying on her side she can't stand up. I checked for broken bones none but she feels thin she made it through the night but just barely. Is there anything I can do or should I just end the suffering? Any advice will be appreciated.

I'm sorry that happened, but your life is richer for having had them. I suppose from now on you should stick with chicken eggs when your hen goes broody.
Turkeys are different. I have a stubbornly broody turkey hen and while I'd so like to see her leading around a group of youngin's, I'm pretty sure she'd make a terrible mother. She is rather charmingly "stupid", if you know what I mean.
