Pennsylvania!! Unite!!

I will have to do some "googleing". Thanks!  :)

I am in Harrisburg.  Is anyone here local to me?

Hello and welcome from 2.5 hours west of you!
There are actually quite a few members in your area or within an hour, most don't stop in daily but you will eventually get aquainted.
Feel free to ask any questions and hopefully someone will chime in to answer.

Hello from Central Pennsylvania!

My daughter (married and in a house a few miles away) and I just got our first chickens today!!!  We have talked about it for years but today was the day!!  :-D

Can anyone recommend a local source for an Araucanas/Ameraucanas pullet?  I would love to add one to the small flock for the cool egg color.  My granddaughter is 3 years old and I am sure will be tickled to have some colorful eggs!

Thanks for any suggestions!  I look forward to getting to know you all and having those more experienced to bounce questions off of.

Shannon

Welcome from Cambria county! I'm about 2 or so hours west of you near Altoona but I just had a nice big hatch of ameraucanas. Not sure if you're interested in driving that far or not lol

Hay, are there any vets on here?
I have a 2 month old chick that is just laying on her side she can't stand up. I checked for broken bones none but she feels thin she made it through the night but just barely. Is there anything I can do or should I just end the suffering? Any advice will be appreciated.

I have a 7 week old chick suffering from Wry Neck right now, look that up and see if maybe it matches. Vitamin E deficiency, possibly an injury, but with TLC they can recover
