I am trying to figure out what to do about the funeral. I do not like funerals, but with three children, they need me to be there. they have two au they have two aunts on his side, but the children do not like them as much as they like my oldest sister, my youngest brother's wife, and me. Besides, my brother-in-law's sisters will be too deep in mourning.
So, if anyone lives around Houtzdale, please private message me if you think you might be able to do something. I can't really say what "something" is. I don't have a predator problem, so I can leave the pop door open. I can leave plenty of food and water for while I'm gone. I'm not worried about the eggs piling up, there are plenty of places for them to lay. I guess what I'm really trying to figure out is the inside birds. The six ducklings may or may not be okay for a few days. The eight week old chick will have to be put down. He move himself away from the food and water, but is less likely to get himself back. I move him out of his droppings and the food/water to him or him to it.
Maybe someone to take a brooder of ducklings for a few days if I don't think of something else.

When do you need them (including the 8 week old chick) picked up? We will find safe housing and care for them while you take care of what you need to do.

I can't believe I'm saying this, but if anyone feels that they have the flu, be sure to treat it seriously. About an hour ago, my otherwise healthy brother-in-law died from the flu. The same one that was going to move to a farm in two months and take a flock of my chicks and ducks.
He was about 49, my sister just turned 40. The boys are 13, and 10. My niece is nine.

I'm so sorry to hear that . It's terrible . I had a colleague died from flu before. A strong guy with two kids in college. I still feel so bad for his family . Let me know if you need help.

Half an hour ago, someone in another thread posted that he has been in the hospital for four hours now. He said he had a head cold, and is a little short of breath. He says he is never had so many test done in his life, and was surprised that they didn't just give him a prescription, and discharge him.
He is doing this because of my brother-in-law. That definitely is touching, but also… Aggravating. If the doctors are doing that many test to be careful, it makes me wonder what is really wrong? Or, what has them being so careful?
I can say that I am so grateful he is there, and that I hope he really does just have a head cold. LOL! Insert "hard headed male/person" joke here!

You got me worried (more worried) about my son. He came home from work Saturday shivering and feeling sick to his stomach. He just started his job on Friday. Today he went to work and I had to pick him up a couple of hours into his shift. He was vomiting. He came home shivering and feeling off. He managed to sleep while we went out to try to find a new well pump. I told him if he is still feeling sick in the morning I will get him to the doctors. Poor kid, he is a vegetarian now (he can't eat meat, he gets very sick) and he had mushrooms and carrots over a salad. We found out he is now allergic to mushrooms, his mouth started to swell up.
