Wait I just now thought of this as it don't explain why her eye is swollen but it sounds like she cou,d have wry neck or something since u say she is holding her head to one side funny I am not sure how to cure it if u want to give it a try and see if it helps her any

It could also be a sinus infection, an eye swollen on the affected side wouldn't surprise me.
I think the other condition is MG....

Sinus infection can create balance problems and cause them to shake their heads trying to relieve the pressure.

I thought with MG I might see/hear wheezing or shallow breathing, respiratory related symptoms? I don't
No smelly beak so not thinking coryza . . .

Thank you. We are all just so stunned. It is like the beginning of one of those medical or murder mystery shows. My mother had to take a vacation a few weeks ago when she collapsed from exhaust. She has been hospitalized a few times in the past two weeks because she seemed to be having a stroke. I half expected her to pass.
If you are unfamiliar with shows like "House", they might show a woman that is having an asthma attack in the woods. Her husband gets out his cell phone, and prays for a signal to call an ambulance. Suddenly, he drops dead of a brain aneurysm. She lives.

There will be a lot of shoulda, woulda, coulda's in the weeks to come. And confusion. I highly recommend the program called Griefshare. I am attending that right now. It is helps in churches, but you don't have to be a person of faith to attend. It has been SO helpful for me and many others.

My niece named him Glitch, he was supposed to be a lady   They gave him to me when we went south to visit because they had too many Roos and their older boys were picking on him (They had 3 other than him, 1 dark brahma, 1 light brahma, and a RIR). Just happened to be perfect timing as I was just getting over the loss of Artie, my buff ameraucana roo who was previously in my avatar. 
I usually sell all of my moyer RSL from egg to egg, although I love their strain of birds. The hen in the newer pics with Glitch and my goose is probably Egg to Egg, just realized the other day that she's wearing egg to egg tags, that makes her 3+ years old. All of the other RSL pictured are Townline Isa Browns. Out of all of the strains of RSL I've had, I like these the most. They have the sweetest personality. Moyers birds do out-lay them every time I've raised them side by side though, but all of my Isa browns are from TSC, and everyone says TSC gets the "hatchery leftovers" (sometimes I believe the rumors, I got some pretty weird colored ones this year). Next year maybe I'll order directly from the hatchery and see if anything's different.

That's how we built our coop too. Open eves for ventilation and insulated walls and floor. It honestly does seem to make a difference. Especially when I'm out there in the middle of winter scraping poop boards off. It's very noticeable then when I climb back out and instantly start freezing again lol.

X2, ours is elevated on posts, floor and walls are insulated but eves are open for ventilation. It is always warmer in there and stays dry in the winter. Makes it comfortable to do coop chores until I have to go back outside.

Glad to know that we didn't have the insulation for nothing. It's cold this morning, but girls were happy and relax in their new coop. It's definitely warmer in the coop. Only strange thing is that they lost interest to fermented feed, which was their favorite. I brought their fermented feed out this morning, they barely touched it. They usually cleaned it up in several minutes. They still love mealworms.

lol if I try to hold onnew of my 4 week Olds u would think someone was trying to kill them, I didn't realize they could squeal that loud....

I think because I have several calm and friendly chicks, the skittish ones learned from them and calmed down. You can make they used to being peted first. Once they relax and walk on you hand, try to lift the hand and pet them. They will eventually want to fly to you and ask for pet.

How the heck can you name chicks that all look basically the same? I know, what a horrible perdicament, but out of 8 silkie bantams, we can tell 4 apart as individuals, the other 4 not so much. How frustrating !

Sinus infections are normally treated with an antibiotic or if just a minor inflammation you may rub Vet-RX on them to help open them up to allow it to drain.
I have never needed to treat MG , but have read about it while doing general research on chicken ailments in the emergency section of BYC.
I would suggest going to the emergency section and look up sinus infection and/or upper respiratory infections.a swollen eye on one side can be from a single sided infection or it could be from an injury to that eye or close to that eye.

Get colored zip ties at your local hardware or maybe Walmart.
Either pick 4 different colors or 2 colors.
Place one around their leg just above foot and clip off excess with toenail clippers or diagonal pliers.
Endless combinations can be created to differentiate the chicks.
Billy is blue
Rhoda is red
Gilbert is green
Yolanda is yellow....

Or blue left leg is billy, blue right leg is burt
Red left leg is rhoda and red right leg is rhonda....

If you only have 1 color then one can have one on left leg, another can have two on left leg
The others can have either one or two on their right leg.....

Anyway, I 'm sure you can see the options.... the nice thing about zip ties is that they are cheap and can easily be clipped off and replaced as they grow.

Just remember to make a little chart to keep track of who is who so you can track progress, weight, feathering, ect....whatever features are important to you for future breeding purposes.
