You could use 3 or 4 ft chicken wire to create a 'funnel fence'....with goodies leading into it and a large goodie such as a bowl of scrambled eggs or chunks of watermelon at the narrow end....also at the narrow end should be a dog kennel or similar cage with her buddies in it. Use the door side of the dog cage to hold up the fence and create the back end of the funnel.
After she goes into it you can then block off the mouth of the funnel then slide a hand in and open the cage door to allow her and her friends to go in and out of the cage....then slip in another treat in the back of the dog cage to get them all back into it and close the door behind them when they are aeting the treat.

....LOL i was actually 5hinking something similar to that, hopefully it will work.....i just picked,up a tractor supply coop from a rfriend that i will be using as a holding pen to introduce the newerbirds to my young flock. I thought the new birds being older would set the pecking order man,wad i wrong, my SLW is obviously the boss.

What's your opinion on that place? We usually go to raystown since it's only like 30 minutes from where we live and plus we could live there it's so nice and peace full. And then we also like cowans gap state park, and there is canoe creek state park we like the swimming area there. But we have went to colyers lake and it's so small I should be called colyers pond. But I am used to going to raystown but I just found this out that raystown is the largest lake in pa and there is four bridges under the water along with the old dam and a village and a few houses and a mansion the mansion it says was the person of who built the dam but idk and it says it was a 41 million dollar build. Who knew? B anyways let me know your opinions on those places cause I would liek to go somewhere new here last year we went to Howard lake but it want much of anything it is a big lake but there isn't much of anything ranging of camping and the swimming area is so crowded you can't do anything.

A lot of people really like Gifford. We have family that camps there with friends and they really like it. Of all the places you mentioned though, we enjoy going to Raystown. We hike, swim, geo-cache, canoe, picnic, etc. Amateur fisher men, so bank fishing is about all we do. Every Tues. morning throughout the summer Raystown Visitor Center has a free breakfast reception and and giveaways. The kids love that. We got tickets to Lincoln Caverns one year, tickets to Delgrosso's another, tickets to Swigarts Car Museum and all kinds of other smaller "prizes". If you're around that area, there's also Trough Creek State Park with lots of great trails, swinging rope bridge, rope swing out into the water and lots of creek swimming if you all like that sort of thing.

I hope you're able to catch her and get her reunited with her flock buddies.
It seems that if you can get to where she is roosting after dusk and lift her from the roosting spot, you could carry her to the new holding pen. I know that's easier said than done though.

If you don't want to give her eggs, but you want to break her from being broody. you can put her in a wire dog crate and hang it or if it is on the ground, no bedding materials. That should break her within a few days.
Some people say dunking her in cool water to lower her body temperature, but that seems kind of cruel.

We have a wire dog crate that we sit on saw horses (so air circulates underneath) in the run so she is still with the rest of her coop mates but can't get into the nesting boxes or otherwise. Broody goes in the crate with a bowl of food and wtaer. Do have to watch those bowls though, b/c she likes to sit in them and try to brood sometimes. When it gets dark, we take her out of the crate and put her on the roost with her buddies so they stay familiar. It's too dark for her to see and feel comfortable hopping in search of the nesting box (or she would!). In the AM we usually have to remove her from a nesting box and put her back in the crate. It usually takes our Australorp 3-4 days of the broody buster to straighten her out. At the end of day 2, 3 or 4 we let her out of the crate and just watch. If she runs to the nesting box, back into the crate she goes. It will be evident if she is still broody. It'll take another week or so after that for her to lay regular again.

Since you have been to raystown have you ever been to that rainbow falls/balancing rock I don't know how far that trail goes we just go and take the dogs to go get some pics and stuff and plus we have an older dog who can't walk that far so we have to carry her after a while so we have to head back to the camper. And I might try Gifford then it sounds very nice and I have seen some videos to see what it looked like. I have heard of trough creek but I don't know where it's at.

Edit: I forgot that trough creek is the balancing Rock and rainbow falls

Ya the fishing isn't very good there u less you are out in a boat that I have found. The only fishing you can do from the bank then is to go to 7 points Marina and put a piece of dog food on your rod and stick it in the water where everyone feeds the carp but that's not allowed so if you want to go fishing that's not the place to go but other than that I could live there.
